A Little About Me

Embracing Courage and Resilience Together

Strength UnSeenJil

The Beginning

The roots of Strength UnSeen reach back to my childhood. In 1984, I watched the Ethiopian famine unfold on television. The images remain etched in my mind: skeletal children, wrists no thicker than my fingers, families rushing desperately toward food supplies, some marked on their foreheads to signal aid. I didn’t yet understand drought or famine, but I understood suffering.

I felt a heaviness, knowing people were dying of hunger, stripped of the most basic measure of human dignity. That truth shattered my innocence and planted a quiet unconscious promise within me: one day, I would return to remember. From then on, that memory became a gentle thread through my life.

My Therapeutic Approach

I am a qualified psychosocial counsellor and SGfB member supporting English-speaking clients in Geneva, Switzerland, and internationally through both in-person and online sessions. Having lived and worked in the UK, France, Argentina, and Switzerland, I bring a culturally sensitive and inclusive perspective that welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds. I also offer Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) as part of my practice.

I support individuals navigating trauma, grief, life and health challenges such as endometriosis, offering a compassionate space for resilience and healing. Through individual and group sessions, I blend psychoeducation, practical guidance, and empathetic listening, always grounded in a holistic mind–body perspective.

My approach is collaborative: your story is honoured, your strengths are recognised, and together we work to navigate challenges and foster growth. I aim to integrate animal therapy into my practice, offering additional pathways for connection and healing.

Above all, I strive to create a welcoming environment where healing feels possible, and where mind, body, and spirit are supported in the process of growth and renewal.

I approach this work with curiosity, creativity, and care, supporting each person in a way that honours their unique experiences and strengths.
